Weekly meetings
Engineering team work is organised in 1 week "sprints". Each sprint has weekly goals that helps us stay focused on the things that matter most in any given week.
A week planning cycle starts with Thursday ELT meeting, where longer term priorities and any ad hoc work are discussed. Then we meet on Friday to discuss the priorities with the broader team and align on the expectations/requirements. Final meeting is on Monday, where we set the weekly goals. On all other days we have daily meetups.
Friday
Goal: Align on product requirements for the next week's tasks and share broader perspective on the product development
Agenda
- Look back
- Did we hit the goals?
- What did we learn?
- Review 6-weeks roadmap
- Share the priorities and future work (fyi)
- Raise risks
- Review next weeks tasks
- Share the list of stories (user stories, tech stories, tasks) with the focus on requirements. The goal is make sure it's all clear and the cards can be written down
- Ideally we start creating the cards during the meeting, but definitely ready before Monday
- Review new quick wins, tech debt items.
- Do we have ideas how to solve them quickly?
- Would that solution solve the actual problem?
